Sundays at CommonHouse

Gathered Worship

As human beings, we exist for one primary purpose; to worship God. All of creation cries out in praise to our Creator. Thus, at CommonHouse, the most important thing we do is gather each week to worship together.

Music

You will find music to be a major part of our gathered worship. Our musical worship team leads us in a mix of songs both old and new as we bring generations together in song. Whether it is an ancient hymn or a modern praise song, we strive to use the music in our gatherings to help us understand the truths of Scripture and to lead us closer to the heart of God.

Preaching

The teaching portion of our worship gatherings involve a relevant message directly from the Word of God. Biblical preaching is the way in which people are taught how to know God and know His will for their lives.

Connection

Gathered worship involved more than just singing and hearing a sermon, meaningful connection is at the core of our gatherings. We strive to maintain a clean and safe space where all people can come together and connect with one another as we seek to connect with God.

Communion

We observe the Lord's Supper frequently in our gathered worship. This is an opportunity for believers to renew their devotion and dedication to God by remembering the work of Christ, and for seekers to come to the table and receive the fullness of Christ's love for them. We use ordinary bread and unfermented grape juice as the elements of Jesus' body and blood.

Children's Ministry

Kids are included in our gathered worship during the music and sharing of prayer & testimony. They are then invited to participate in age-specific classes during the sermon.

Our Children's Ministry is led by dedicated adults who have years of experience with caring for, nurturing, and teaching kids. Your child will be loved deeply and cared for intently while they are in class learning about Jesus.

All adults who work with our kids at CommonHouse have an up-to-date background check on file at the church and meet regularly to evaluate best practices for working with children.

CommonHouse Kids Ministry involves a traditional Sunday School style classroom and curriculum. Children will be led in a practical Bible lesson with interactive components such as crafts and other activities to bring the stories of Scripture to life in an age-appropriate manner. We currently have two separate classes; The Kingdom Seekers (3 Years Old-Kindergarten) and The Truth Seekers (1st-5th Grade). Children in each of these classes will be challenged and rewarded to memorize Scripture verses and to serve their church and community in various ways!
